Lakeland Police Seek Information In Death Of 14-Year-Old

Lakeland Police detectives are seeking information on the homicide of a 14-year-old teen on Tuesday, July 3.

LAKELAND, FL -- Lakeland Police detectives are seeking information on the homicide of a 14-year-old teen on Tuesday, July 3.

At 4:22 a.m., officers from the Lakeland Police Department responded to a suspicious incident at 845 W Crawford St. Rex Honors, 21, reported that he arrived home and could not locate his younger brother, also named Rex Honors, 14. Honors stated that a table was broken and the sliding glass door to the back yard was open. Officers checked the residence and located the 14-year-old brother in the back yard dead.

Detectives from the Violent Crimes Unit responded to the scene to investigate the homicide. At this time, the manner of death is not being released and the investigation is on-going.
