Legoland Unveils Ninjago World
Set to open in December, the newest entertainment venue will feature a climbing wall, a ninja training area and an interactive ride

Legoland Florida started its fifth birthday celebration with the unveiling of its latest addition, Ninjago World, Friday morning. The new expansion, set to open in January, is based on the animated series of the same name, will feature not only an expansive play area complete with a climbing wall, building area and “ninja training areas,” but also a ride that will incorporate interactive elements unique to Legoland.
The unveiling came just a day after a bomb threat had cleared the park.
“What I learned yesterday was that positive energy and momentum will never be stopped by naysayers and small mindedness,” said Legoland Florida Resort General Manager Adrian Jones to the press during the unveiling.

While Legoland California already has a Ninjago World, Jones promised this one would be unique.
“We’ve taken the lessons learned during the creation of their land and improved upon them,” he said, pointing out the interactive play areas where visitors will learn skills relevant to the ride itself.

Built on three acres, Ninjago World's highlight will be Ninjago the Ride, which will feature hand gesture technology that enables guests to interact with the game. Points will be tallied so family members can compare scores at the end.
