Load Of Raw Sweet Potatoes Gets Baked When Truck Catches Fire

No one was injured but the westbound lanes of Interstate 4 were shut down Monday morning when a tractor-trailer truck caught fire.

POLK COUNTY, FL --- A load of raw sweet potatoes is now baked following a truck fire on Interstate 4.

No one was injured but the westbound lanes of Interstate 4 were shut down Monday morning when a tractor-trailer truck caught fire.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the truck transporting sweet potatoes caught fire due to a mechanical issue at 5:10 a.m. Oct. 29. The driver, Steven Tillman, 62, of Orlando, was able to pull over to the emergency lane and escaped without injury. But the fire created a smoke hazard for westbound motorists.
