LAKELAND, FL — A 37-year-old man is wanted by the Polk County Sheriff's Office after he was accused by deputies of threatening a school teacher with a gun, said law enforcement officials.

The suspect, Raymond Hein, drove a red Nissan Altima recklessly along U.S. Highway 98 on Friday, said investigators.

Hein stopped his car next to a teacher who sat in her car at a stoplight near Winter Lake Road, and he started yelling towards her that she had failed his child, said detectives.

Authorities said the victim does not know Hein or his family, and she has never taught his kids.

Investigators said they believe he targeted the teacher because she has a Support Education specialty license plate, or it could have been a mistaken identity.
