LAKE WALES, FL — A 32-year-old Avon Park man was arrested for indecent exposure in public by the Polk County Sheriff's Office on Wednesday after he exposed himself to a woman driving in her car and then to a detective who investigated him, police said in a news release.

On the morning of May 11, a woman drove along Highway 60 near the Lake Wales Aiport and noticed another driver, later identified as Justin Mosser, waving to her from a Mazda. She looked at him and saw he was completely exposed.

The woman immediately called the Polk County Sheriff's Office to report the incident. She took photos of Mosser's car and license plate and gave them to authorities, said police. This helped detectives identify Mosser as the suspect.

A detective in an unmarked vehicle noticed Mosser's car driving alongside hers on Highway 27 near Pine Crest Road on the morning of May 13. She looked over at Mosser and police said he exposed himself. The detective pulled him over and arrested Moser.

He told detectives that he often drives with himself exposed because he gets hot. He said that he has done this four or five times to random women drivers.

"First, nobody wants to see that," said Sheriff Grady Judd in a news release. "It's disgusting, rude, and perverted. Second, it's dangerous to be doing something like this while driving. This is wrong on so many levels. Great work by the detectives to find this guy so quickly. He said he's done this before, so we're asking for his other victims to contact the Sheriff's Office."

Mosser is charged with three counts of indecent exposure in public and two counts of committing a lewd act. The charges are from two separate incidents.

Mosser's prior criminal history includes arrests for burglary, grand theft, criminal mischief, giving false name to law enforcement, resisting arrest, DUI, leaving the scene of an accident and driving while license suspended/revoked.
