Man Shot Behind Davenport Hotel In Critical Condition: Police
The Polk County Sheriff's Office is searching for a witness and shooting suspect who both left the area near a hotel where a man was shot.
DAVENPORT, FL — A man was shot on Wednesday behind a motel in Davenport, said Polk County Sheriff's Office.
Authorities said that a witness to the shooting told a nearby construction crew by the Days Inn motel, 43700 US Highway 27 North, that his friend had just been shot. The witness did not remain on the scene to speak to police.
Detectives are at the location searching for the witness and the suspect or suspects.

The victim was taken to Heart of Florida Hospital with critical injuries.
