Man Yells At Driver To Slow Down, Shot Multiple Times: Police
Winter Haven police are investigating an incident in which a driver shot someone who had yelled at him to slow down for speeding.
WINTER HAVEN, FL — A man was shot Wednesday night after he and another person yelled at a driver for speeding in their Winter Haven neighborhood, authorities said.
Winter Haven police detectives said the men had yelled at the driver of a white Ford Mustang, who then stopped the car and asked the two men what they said. The driver sped away and, less than 10 minutes later, returned and shot the victim multiple times in the torso, a police news release said.
Police said the shooting took place at 8:30 p.m. on 20th Street Southwest.

The victim was taken to an area hospital, where he was reported in stable condition.
Winter Haven police have not released any further details. The victim's name will not be released by the police department under the privacy provision of the state's Marsy's Law.
