Mother, Son Sought By Police After Woman Attacked In Polk County
Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd said the suspects strangled and robbed a woman near Bartow on Wednesday.
POLK COUNTY, FL — Authorities are searching for a mother and son after they allegedly attacked, strangled, and robbed a woman Wednesday, the Polk County Sheriff's Office said in a release.
Arrest warrants were issued for 21-year-old Isiah Zambrano and 41-year-old Krista Willard, both of Bartow, for their involvement in the violent attack, according to Sheriff Grady Judd. Both are wanted on charges including kidnapping, robbery, and aggravated battery, authorities said.
According to Judd, the pair "physically battered" the female victim numerous times using various methods and refused to let her leave. Judd said Zambrano also forcibly removed the victim's backpack.

Authorities said both suspects have extensive criminal histories.
Zambrano also has active warrants in Polk and Marion counties for assault and battery, resisting arrest, methamphetamine possession, and false imprisonment, authorities said.
