Man Dies After Stabbing At Circle K In Winter Haven
Polk County Sheriff's deputies said a person is being questioned but is not considered a suspect "at this time."

POLK COUNTY, FL – A man stabbed today outside a Winter Haven convenience store succumbed to his injuries after being transported to Winter Haven Hospital, the Polk County Sheriff's Office said.
The victim was identified by deputies as 38-year-old Marvin Briggs of Lake Alfred.
A man connected to the incident is in department custody and undergoing questioning, however "is not considered a suspect at this time," deputies said.

The stabbing occurred after the two men, who knew each other, had an altercation outside the door to the Circle K at 1108 Spirit Lake Road in Winter Haven.
Deputies said Briggs had a criminal history, and that the investigation is ongoing.

A suspect is in custody following a stabbing today at a Circle K store in Winter Haven, the Polk County Sheriff's Office said.
The agency said the adult victim was transported to a hospital after the 11:10 a.m. incident at the store at 1108 Spirit Lake Road.
After a brief search for the suspect, who fled on foot, deputies have the man in custody, the department said.
No additional details were released.
