Police Search For Four Young Men Accused Of Haines City Robbery

The suspects demanded cash from the clerk as he closed his Haines City store for the day.

HAINES CITY, FL — Polk County Sheriff's Office is searching for four suspects they accuse of a robbery that took place on the night of Monday, May 25, at a Haines City convenience store.

Four black males in their late teens or early twenties and thinly built forced the clerk of the store back in the building as he was outside locking the building for closing time, a news release reported. Three of the suspects went inside with the clerk and demanded money while the fourth suspect stayed outside. The clerk handed over an undisclosed amount of cash to the suspects, and then they drove off in a silver sedan heading east on East Hinson Avenue.

Before they left the store, police said they stuck the clerk in the face and on the back of his head. He did not need medical services.

All four of the suspects wore gloves and dark, hooded sweatshirts.

"The suspects in this robbery didn't show a gun, but one of them mentioned a gun," said Sheriff Grady Judd. "They are dangerous; they physically battered the victim who was being cooperative with their demands.
