Polk Homicide Detectives Seek Information On Suspicious Death

MULBERRY, FL – Polk County Sheriff’s Office homicide detectives are seeking witnesses or anyone with information regarding a suspicious death in Mulberry.

Around 6:15 p.m. Thursday, March 22, deputies responded to 607 NW 1st Ave. in Mulberry to conduct a well-being check on 58-year-old Tammy Butler at the request of friends who had not spoken with her in several days.

When deputies entered the home, they found Butler dead. She lived alone.

Detectives are following up on leads at this time, but are looking for anyone who has information about, spoke with or saw Butler between Saturday, March 17, and Thursday.
