Polk Sheriff's Deputy Resigns Following Sexual Battery Accusation

A Polk County Sheriff's deputy was arrested after a deputy sheriff trainee claimed the deputy molested him.

LAKELAND, FL – A Polk County Sheriff’s deputy was arrested on charges of sexual battery and false imprisonment after a deputy sheriff trainee claimed the deputy molested him.

Scott Walker, 39, was arrested Friday, Oct. 5, and posted $30,000 bond on Saturday.

According to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, the trainee said he asked Walker for help with training. When the two met in Lakeland, the trainee claimed Walker fondled him.

The trainee reported Walker to the sheriff’s office on Thursday, Oct. 4.

Walker resigned after working 19 years for the sheriff’s office.
