Summer Meals Program For Children Extended In Polk County
The Polk County Public Schools System decided to continue with food services to children since the first day of school has been delayed.
WINTER HAVEN, FL — With the start of the Polk County Public Schools System school year delayed to Aug. 24, the district is extending the summer meals program to Thursday, Aug. 6, a news release said.
The meals program was originally scheduled to end Thursday, July 23. The PCPS food sites will continue distributing meals on Mondays and Thursdays from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., through Aug. 6.
