Fishing Trip Turns Deadly For 3 Friends In Frostproof: Police

Three friends who went fishing in Frostproof appeared to have been beaten and shot to death, according to the Polk County Sheriff's Office.

FROSTPROOF, FL — Three friends on a fishing trip were found dead by a victim's father on Friday night after they went fishing, a Polk County Sheriff's Office news release said.

Police said that Damion Tillman, 23, Keven Springfield, 30, and Brandon Rollins, 27, were the victims of a triple homicide that happened in a remote area in Frostproof near U.S. Highway 27 and Lake Streety.

The victims, who were best friends, went fishing in this area when Rollins called his dad and said, "Help," around 10:06 p.m. Rollins' father arrived and found his son clinging for life, and Tillman and Springfield were already dead, authorities said.
