Water Rescue Prompts Lakeland Police To Take Up Kayaking
While Lakeland police officers don't normally perform marine duties, they recently came to the rescue of three boys.
LAKELAND, FL — While Lakeland police officers don't normally perform marine duties, they came to the rescue of three boys who got stuck on the Florida Southern College water sky ramp after their small boat drifted away on Oct. 14.
Lakeland police college resource officers promptly jumped into kayaks and brought the boys safety back to shore to the waiting arms of a grateful mom.
