Here's what services in Lakeland are open and closed July 3 and 4 for the holiday weekend.

LAKELAND, FL — Fourth of July looks different this year because of the ongoing pandemic. Lakeland firework shows and many other celebrations are canceled, leaving residents to find ways to celebrate at home. However, we can count on a scheduled holiday.
Because July 4 falls on a Saturday, the Independence Day holiday is observed on Friday, July 3. Lakeland city offices will be closed, and other services will have schedule changes.
