Winter Haven Man Dies After I-4 Crash Near Plant City: Police
A 35-year-old man died Monday after his truck crashed into a disabled semi on Interstate 4, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

PLANT CITY, FL — A 35-year-old man died early Monday morning after a crash on Interstate 4 westbound near County Line Road.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a semi experienced operating issues and this caused the truck to stop in an outside travel lane. The driver turned on his hazard lights, and tried to flag traffic around his disabled vehicle.
A man who drove westbound in a truck along I-4 crashed into the back of the semi, and authorities said that he died at the scene.

The driver of the semi was not injured, said police.
Due to Marsy's Law, the identity of the victim will not be released by authorities.

Traffic was backed up past Polk Parkway for several hours because at one point all lanes were blocked as law enforcement investigated the fatal crash. Lanes finally reopened around 9: 10 a.m.
