Woman Bites Victim's Hand, Tries To Steal Her Car: Sheriff

A woman faces multiple charges after she is accused of following a woman into a Taco Bell bathroom in Lakeland, and trying to steal her car.

LAKELAND, FL — A fight broke out between two women in a Taco Bell bathroom in Lakeland when the suspect tried to steal the victim's car keys, Polk County Sheriff's Office said.

The suspect, 37-year-old Cynthia Glassman, followed the victim into the bathroom on Friday night and swiped the victim's car keys from her hand, authorities said.

The victim tried to get her keys back but Glassman is accused of punching and kicking the victim at this time.

A Taco Bell employee ran inside the bathroom and separated the women, investigators said.

Glassman attempted to get inside the victim's car, and bit the victim on the hand as she tried to get the suspect away from her car, detectives said.

The Taco Bell employee ran outside and separated the women again. The employee stayed with them until officers arrived at the location, 2045 Memorial Boulevard.

Glassman was arrested and faces charges of robbery, grand theft motor vehicle, battery and petit theft, according to the Polk County Sheriff's Office.

The victim was treated by paramedics for her injuries.
