Woman Drove Drunk With Child In Van That Crashed: Police
Polk County Sheriff's Office have arrested a woman they say drove drunk with a 4-year-old child in a van that crashed in Davenport.

DAVENPORT, FL — A woman who drove drunk with a 4-year-old child in her vehicle before it crashed faces DUI and other charges, authorities said.
The Polk County Sheriff's Office arrested Karla Del Rosari Camejo Quiva, 37, who officers say was impaired during a single-vehicle crash of her 2016 Dodge van on Highway 27 at Legacy Park Boulevard in Davenport.
An officer reportedly smelle alcohol on Quiva's breath, according to a police report, and said she showed signs of impairment during the field sobriety test. Police took her to the Polk County Jail. A breath test she took at the station showed her blood alcohol content was .155 and .164.

Florida law says that drivers are legally impaired if their blood alcohol level is .08 or higher.
"We are fortunate that this driver and the child weren't injured or killed," said Sheriff Grady Judd. "The child was turned over to family members, and we sincerely hope that this was a wake-up call for this drunk driver. Please, don't endanger yourself or others by driving impaired."

She is charged with one count DUI and once count child neglect for endangering a child. Neither Quiva or the child were injured in the crash.
