Worker Who Vanished On Lunch Break Found Dead 2 Days Later

LAKELAND, FL — Police have identified a missing Lakeland man whose body was found on July 2 near a wooded area north of East Bella Vista Street, a police news release said.

Police said the body was identified as Ricky Kimball, 65, and they are investigating the cause of death.

Kimball had been reported missing during the early morning hours of June 30, 2020, from his work location, the Circle K at 4415 Kathleen Road. The Polk County Sheriff’s Office report said that Kimball was working his normal shift when he walked outside to take a break, and didn't return to the store.
