30 Handguns, Sniper Rifle Taken By Armed Burglars

The Pasco County Sheriff's office says three hooded suspects broke into a business Sunday morning and left heavily armed.

ZEPHYRHILLS, FL — The Pasco County Sheriff’s office is investigating an armed business burglary that resulted in three people swiping a large stockpile of weapons.

According to the agency, the crime occurred between 2:53 and 2:57 a.m. Sunday when three suspects, wearing hoods and gloves, entered Grey Wolf’s Armory in Zephyrhills. The suspects, an email from the sheriff’s office said, gained entry into the 32733 Eiland Blvd. store by knocking a hole into the side of the business.

“The side of the business is obscured by hedges, and exterior lighting was broken by the suspects,” the email noted. “The business is alarmed, but the alarm was never activated.”

After gaining entry into the business, the suspects “crawled around to avoid the surveillance cameras and motion detectors.”

All told, the trio of burglars got away with 30 hand guns, two long guns and a sniper rifle, the sheriff’s office said. They did, however, leave other guns behind, including a rifle that is described as being rather “expensive.”
