Academy At The Lakes Sends Thrower To Regionals

The smallest school at the District 9 meet was still able to get one of their athletes through to regionals.

It was a long, hot afternoon but Academy at the Lakes athletes did well in their events at the April 14. One Academy athlete broke through to regionals.

Sophomore Andrea Mauger threw 29 feet 5 inches in shot to grab the fourth spot at districts. She moves on to regionals.

"I'm really excited. Hopefully all my hard work will pay off and I will make it through at regionals," said Mauger.
