Authentic Maryland Lump Crab Cakes In Trinity!

I confess, I was getting pretty discouraged
with the dinner choices anywhere within 30 miles
of Land O lakes. I mean really, I am so tired of
traveling 25-30 miles for average at best food.

There are only a handful of restaurants that
can get my attention as it is, and a only a couple
of those are anywhere near here, but then we saw
the "On The Town" review of Chef Allen and
the Old Bay Cafe on "Bay News 9".

Being from the Chespeake area of the country,
and with my sensitivity to the term
"Maryland Style Crab Cake". (Unfortunately
95% of the time around here, it's a "Florida Crab Cake"
that barely resembles anything like a real, lump meat
backfin Blue Crab. A loaded, 6 to 8 oz meal/sandwich.)
And it burns my cookies when some local "seafood"
restaurants try to pass off a little bitty, crab-maybe
and bread filled nonsence, and call it a "CRAB CAKE"!
But I digress, sorry...

Now don't get me wrong. Fancy restaurants are
great. Love the white table cloth and all that, but
that's not what we wanted here. We wanted a true,
Maryland Native with Eastern Shore recipies
and a purest attitude towards the crabing
food craft, to make our lunch.

And Chef Allen does it right.

A happy guy with the willingness to please,
he greeted us with the BEST crab cakes
we've had in this state.

Not only that, but he gave me a fresh bowl
of Maryland red crab soup on the house,
along with the Crab Tacos I ordered.
All excellent and it's 'HOW" they serve seafood in
Havre De Grace, Md.! Very good, & very authentic.

All this would be enough for a transplant like me,
but here's the kicker for all of you Maryland-Virginia-
Delaware transplants and visitors, the OLD BAY CAFE
steams up Dozens of fresh crabs and shrimp in
Old Bay seasoning just the way they are
intended to be done everyday.
Yes Really!

Just call ahead to have them
ready to eat there or, take home when you get
there! And I suggest you get there A.S.A.P.

It's summer by George, and Crab & shrimp feasts
are a must!

(It's BYOB Too!!!)
