Biden’s Oakstead Visit to Cause Little Interruption for Students
Parents and students can expect a relatively normal school day despite a vice presidential visit on Tuesday.

According to Pasco School District officials, the academic day should be much like any other.
“It will be a normal school day,” said Summer Romagnoli, the district’s spokeswoman. “The Vice President will tour one class and speak to some parents in the media center.”

Students in other classes can anticipate little change to their schedule.
“They have worked all weekend to ensure that his visit will cause as little disruption as possible,” Romagnoli said.

Biden is coming to Florida this week to speak about the American Jobs Act. While the Oct. 4 stop at Oakstead is just one planned visit on his tour, the district is happy to host him, she added.
“This is a wonderful opportunity to highlight the needs of public education.”
Biden is expected to speak at the school at 12:30 p.m.
