What I'd like to Do if I am Elected State Committeeman

A little of what I'd like to see happen within the Republican Party. I'll work towards these ends if I'm elected State Committeeman.

Things I'd like to see happen and will work towards effecting if elected Pasco's Republican State Committeeman:

  • See the REC move towards the direction of being a more inclusive body, welcoming more folks (along with diverse views).
  • Set up a strong Candidate vetting process, including Party sponsored debates and other events designed to provide insight into the person that is asking for support.
  • Eliminate the atmosphere of threats & reprisal that seems to exist at some Party gatherings.
  • Provide educational forums and distributions (for example, there are a dozen amendments on the upcoming ballot, none of which have been discussed at any length) at REC meetings.
  • Set up spending guidelines for elected party officials, to provide limits and specifics as to what they can and cannot expend party funds on.
  • Cease endorsements and funding of candidates by the REC in Republican Primaries ( don't tell people who to vote for, let the process play itself out).
  • Broaden the topics of discussion at REC meetings to include more issues (not only the singular issue that is important to the leadership).
  • Create a "Potential Candidate"program (to explain and show those that might be interested what they might expect to encounter if they decide to run).
  • A greater online presence, with the emphasis on more interaction to obtain greater feedback from the constituents (we are missing the boat terribly here).
