THE BEST PLACE FOR ME is not only a sweet, sentimental story, the illustrations are fantastic and engaging. The story takes readers around the world visiting various countries, cities and landmarks with specific details about each one, summing up that none of these places are the "best place for me". The "me" is the mother. It truly is a best bedtime book, as what parent doesn't want their child drifting off the sleep knowing that being with them is truly the best place they want to be?
My two-year-old and three-year-old are definitely more fascinated with the illustrations than the story, but the exciting part of the story is in the details. It provides specifics for the locations used, which are a great conversation starter, particularly with older kids, like my three-year-old.
