Millers - Tampa Ale House-Dale Mabry and Bearss Ave.---Don't bother right now.

3rd time was the straw!

I tried, then I tried a second time, but yesterday, the wife n I went to the Tampa Ale House for the menu. It is a well rounded, attractively crafted offering of well priced popular items. That is encouraging, if not for the fact that the food that was presented each of the last three visits, was simply sub parr.

Sorry to have to rain on a great concept, but the cooks there are not well trained and don't use a quality control method of serving. It's not the servers fault though. They are trained by management as well as the cooks which brings me to my review...

Examples: First visit, the 19.95 Mixed steamed seafood platter was awful. Dry crab legs, hard & underdone potatoes and cold mussles. Bad. Sent it back and went to Red Lobster. Not alot better, but better.

Second visit tried something easier and harder to mess up. I ordered a French Dip sandwich. Stale bread screwed that up, meat was cold, but was replaced. I Swore I'd leave this place alone from "now on".

Third visit: ok, I get it, maybe it was the time of day. Sure, that's gotta be it. We went in at 3:40pm for a late lunch and I fought her tooth and nail about it. I did NOT want to try this again. But we did anyway and I said " just sliders. Make me 4 2oz mini burgers and sweet potato fries. (7.95)". Again with the stale bread! If I threw one at the cook, I'd make my point. Hard as a rock. Same lame excuses from the manager. Hey Manager, defense of bad cooking in a restaurant is bad management.

(Dude, having to apologize all day for a bad cook that can't get his act together will shorten this restaurants lifespan in New York minute! Get it together or watch this restaurant become a pool hall or a day spa!)

I'd pass right now on Tampa Ale House. Maybe it's summer, maybe it's the lack of business that keeps producing this result, I don't know, but don't waste your time and money right now. Let's hope they improve. The menu looks great! :>/
