Angeline Academy of Innovation Begins New School Year with Plaque Presentation
As Angeline Academy of Innovation prepares to welcome students back this week, the school recently marked the start of a new school year with a plaque presentation from Metro Development Group.
The plaque recognizes Metro’s involvement with the school, which serves middle and high school students through STEM programs, project-based learning and an innovative curriculum.
“From the beginning, education has been one of the guiding pillars of the vision for Angeline. Seeing Angeline Academy of Innovation continue to grow is a reflection of that vision becoming reality,” said Julie Goforth-Birch, Realtor Liason at Metro development Group with Metro Development Group.
The school is also part of a broader focus on education, healthcare and innovation taking shape in Angeline. Moffitt Cancer Center is developing Speros, a first-of-its-kind life sciences campus in the community that will bring together research, healthcare and education.
The proximity of Speros to Angeline Academy creates a connection between the education students are receiving today and the fields they may pursue in the future. With STEM education and innovation at the center of the school's curriculum, students are learning in a community where research and healthcare careers are taking shape just down the road.
“It's exciting to think that the students learning here today could one day pursue careers in fields that are taking shape right here in their own community,” Goforth-Birch added.
