A Monday afternoon accident along Land O’ Lakes Boulevard has left the front entrance to Hungry Harry’s Bar-B-Que in disarray.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 2:54 p.m. Two vehicles, a Cadillac driven by Marie Blaxton, 55, of Land O’ Lakes, and a Ford SUV, driven by Frank Caceres, 60, of Spring Hill were both heading north at the time in the outside lane.
Caceres was ahead of Blaxton and slowed to turn into a driveway.

Blaxton, however, did not slow down, but attempted to avoid a collision by veering right, a highway patrol reported stated.
She was unsuccessful. The left side of Blaxton’s Cadillac sideswiped the right side of Caceres’ vehicle, traveled over the curb and ultimately hit the eatery.

The front door and porch area of the 3116 Land O’ Lakes Blvd. restaurant were damaged.
Blaxton and her 4-year-old granddaughter were both taken to Wesley Chapel hospital with minor injuries, the highway patrol reported.
Blaxton was cited for careless driving.
It is unclear at this time if Hungry Harry’s is open for business Monday evening. A call to the restaurant went unanswered.
