Centennial Student Arrested After Phoning In Death Threat

As a result of the threat, no students were allowed outside the classrooms for an hour and a half.

DADE CITY, FL--A 15-year-old Centennial Middle School student is facing charges after placing a threatening phone call to the school’s front office Thursday morning.

According to the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office, the eighth-grader borrowed a friend’s cell phone during first-period class and called the front office of the school, saying, β€œYou are all going to die. I’m going to kill you.”

As a result of the threat, the school was placed into a controlled campus status in which no students were allowed outside the classrooms and physical education classes were moved indoors. The school was on controlled campus status for an hour and a half while deputies investigated the threat.

The student was taken to the Juvenile Assessment Center. His name is being withheld because he is a juvenile.
