Search Continues for Land O' Lakes Shooting Suspect

The Pasco County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting that occurred in the Drexel Road area of Land O’ Lakes Wednesday morning.

According to the agency, the shooting happened around 9 a.m. north of Lake Patience Road.

While the search for the suspected shooter continues, the sheriff’s office says the crime is an “isolated incident.”

“(The) victim and shooter knew each other,” said agency spokeswoman Melanie Snow. The crime appears to be drug related, she added.

The victim, who was shot in the arm, is not being identified at this time. Deputies have also not released the name of the suspected shooter.
