Donald Trump Fires Campaign Manager Corey Lewandowski: Reports
Donald Trump's embattled campaign manager, Corey Lewandowski, is reportedly out.

Donald Trump, the Republican Party’s presumptive nominee, is reportedly in the market for a new campaign manager. Corey Lewandowski has officially been fired, the campaign confirmed to The New York Times.
“The Donald J. Trump Campaign for President, which has set a historic record in the Republican primary having received almost 14 million votes, has today announced that Corey Lewandowski will no longer be working with the campaign,” Hope Hicks, spokeswoman for Trump's campaign, told the Times, which first broke the story.

“The campaign is grateful to Corey for his hard work and dedication and we wish him the best in the future.”
Lewandowski's most notable moment on the campaign trail occurred during a Florida rally. He was accused of grabbing a reporter, leaving bruising behind. That incident led to a battery charge that was not prosecuted.

In the incident, caught on video, Michelle Fields, a reporter for the conservative-leaning Breitbart News, leaned in to ask Trump a question as he was exiting the rally. Lewandowski, seemingly doubling as a bodyguard, reached over and grabbed her arm, yanking her backwards.
Fields filed a report with Jupiter Police, which filed simple battery charges against Lewandowski. The Palm Beach County state attorney decided against prosecuting the charge due to a lack of evidence.
Trump and Lewandowski strongly refuted any wrongdoing, their denials ranging from Lewandowski never touching Fields to him just trying to protect Trump from any possible assailants.
A little more than a week after the Florida incident, Lewandowski was seen on video yanking a protestor in Arizona out of the crowd by his collar.
It is unclear who might step into the campaign manager role following Lewandowski’s exit. Trump is expected to be named the Republican Party nominee during the July Republican National Convention in Cleveland, Ohio.
