Drug Street Names: What Parents Need to Know
The Pasco County Sheriff's Office has put out a primer to educate parents on what kids are calling drugs these days.

Berries and school buses sound harmless enough, but the Pasco County Sheriffβs Office says they might be more dangerous than many parents think.
βBerriesβ and βschool busesβ are common street names for drugs and theyβre terms parents need to know about, according to the sheriffβs office.
Thatβs why the sheriffβs office put out a primer of sorts related to drugs and their street names on its Facebook page.

βWe want to keep you informed of drugs in our community, so you can be vigilant when protecting our children,β the introduction reads.
Here are some common drugs and their street names:

- Marijuana β Bud, Weed, Green, Chronic
- Roxycodone β Roxy's, Blues, Berries
- Oxycodone β Oxys, Orange, O.C.'s
- Xanax β Sticks, Bars, School Buses (yellow Xanax bar), Hulks (green Xanax bar)
- Ecstasy β E, X, Polly, Molly or Mollies
- Dilaudid β D's
- Synthetic marijuana products β The sheriffβs office say theyβre βare being referred to as Spice now including synthetic substrates mixed with marijuana.β
The sheriffβs office also passes along that the phrase βprovided support" can be a reference to buying or providing marijuana to a group of people.
Here are some other things the sheriffβs office says parents should know about:
- Marijuana is still extremely popular and can be very strong due to high THC levels. Marijuana can also be laced with other drugs (such as prescription pills).
- Molly (Ecstasy) is also often mixed with a chemical called BZT to enhance its effects. BZT, more commonly referred to as Legal E or Legal X, is a controlled substance banned by law.
- Meth use is on the rise. This drug is made from common items found in stores and is βextremely powerful and addicting.β
