DUI Wolfpack Set to Roam Pasco, Hillsborough

Troopers will be out in force Friday night.

Tampa Bay area residents with weekend partying on their minds will want to make sure to designate a driver before hitting the road.

The Florida Highway Patrol has announced a multi-county DUI Wolfpack set to take place starting around 10 p.m. Friday and running until 4 a.m. Saturday.

The operation is being conducted by the Land O’ Lakes sub-district, an email to media from the patrol stated. Troopers will focus on DUI enforcement in Pasco, Hillsborough and Hernando counties. They have set a priority on such roads as the Suncoast Parkway and the Veterans Expressway, the email noted.

β€œEveryone is reminded to not drink and drive and plan in advance for events where alcoholic beverages are consumed by utilizing designated drivers, taxi services or holding events where driving is not necessary,” the patrol recommended.

Motorists who encounter impaired drivers may contact the patrol by dialing *FHP from their cellphones.
