LUTZ ARTS & CRAFTS FESTIVAL AT LAKE PARK IN LUTZ
The GFWC Lutz-Land O’Lakes Woman’s Club, Inc. will hold its 33rd Annual Lutz Arts & Crafts Festival on Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012 from 10 am to 5 pm and on Sunday, Dec. 2, 2012 from 10 am to 4 pm at Lake Park, N. This vibrant event attracts between 20,000 to 30,000 visitors each year and features over 250 vendors with a wide variety of artists of every medium participating thereby offering the public a huge array of art and handmade items from which to choose. There are booths showcasing paintings, photography, jewelry, wood carving, ceramics/pottery, stained glass, quilts and of course, great food. This is a juried art show with several categories of art forms and cash prizes are awarded by the Woman’s Club.
The food offerings are always a big draw at this festival and will include the Woman’s Club booth with hot dogs and their famous peach cobbler. Many other food booths will feature delicious BBQ, Cuban food, sausages, funnel cakes and much more.
Mark your calendar to do your Christmas shopping in this enjoyable and festive atmosphere, bring the kids along and have a delightful weekend locally while supporting the Woman’s Club. These hard-working ladies have been serving our community for over 50 years and the proceeds of this event will insure that they can continue their good work and provide support to so many of our local organizations. Their motto is “Serve Today For a Better Tomorrow”.
A limited number of vendor spaces are still available, however all jewelry booths have been filled. For further information, please call Festival Chairs, Phyllis Hoedt at 813-949-1937 OR Shirley Simmons at 813-949-7060.
