Fundraiser Continues for Teen Injured in Tubing Accident
The 16-year-old Sunlake High School football player was placed in a medically induced coma after suffering a severe head injury.

As the 16-year-old Land Oโ Lakes boy who was seriously injured during a tubing accident earlier this month begins to show signs of improvement, friends of his family are continuing to rally support.
โMany thanks to everyone who has donated to help the Johnson family,โ wrote family friend Valerie Murray on the gofundme campaign page established to help the family.
Xavier Johnson, 16, and another boy were being towed by a personal watercraft May 16 when a passing vessel caused their driver to alter course. The tube the teens were riding on struck a dock, injuring both teens on the tube in the process.

Both boys were taken to the hospital. While one went home, Xavier remains hospitalized and was placed in a medically induced coma due to a severe head injury.
โOver the course of the past 12 days, Xavier has battled a roller coaster of complications as well as victories,โ Murray wrote on gofundme Thursday. โHe has begun to finally show signs of progress, but this recovery process remains uncertain. Please continue to pray for this young manโs healing, but above all, that God would continue to be glorified in his life.โ
