Inmate Accused Of Threatening To Kill People In Letter To Mom

LAND O' LAKES, FL -- An inmate of the Land O' Lakes Detention Center was arrested after Pasco County Sheriff's deputies said he tried to send a letter to his mother that contained threats against two people.

Robert Girolamo Jr., 38, of Hudson was charged with making threats to kill or do bodily harm on April 8 after a housing deputy at the jail scanned a letter he'd written to his mother.

In the letter, Girolamo said told his mother that, upon his release, he was planning to go home, retrieve a gun and "take out" two people. Afterward, he said he planned to kill himself.

Bond was set at $10,000.
