Land O' Lakes Man Accused Of Driving Drunk With 3 Kids In Jeep
A 40-year-old Land O' Lakes man has been charged with driving under the influence and child neglect he was pulled over with three kids.

LAND O' LAKES, FL -- A 40-year-old Land O' Lakes man has been charged with driving under the influence and child neglect after Pasco County Sheriff's deputies pulled him over for driving erratically with three children as passengers.
Deputies say they spotted Jerry Allen Currie driving a Jeep Renegade at the intersection of Voyager Boulevard and Lake Patience Drive in Land O' Lakes on Sunday, Feb. 4 at about 1 a.m. Deputies say he was driving aggressively, causing the tires of the Jeep to skid and squeal as he crossed the intersection and drove into the parking lot of the apartment complex where he lives.
When deputies pulled him over, they discovered he had three children in the Jeep's passenger seats. Deputies said he was slurring his words and they could smell alcohol on his breath.

Currie admitted to drinking beer at a bar. He told deputies he couldn't remember how many beers he had but believed it was more than three.
Deputies said he performed poorly when given a field sobriety test and his blood alcohol level was .164 and .159. In Florida. a blood alcohol level of .08 is considered legally intoxicated.
