Update: Man Dies After Land O' Lakes Crash

The accident happened Monday morning on U.S. 41.

Update: The Florida Highway Patrol reports that Dairon Molina, 39, died Feb. 6 following the Feb. 2 crash on U.S. 41.

A 39-year-old Land O’ Lakes man is in critical condition at St. Joseph’s Hospital North following a single-vehicle wreck on U.S. 41 early Monday morning.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the man was heading south, just south of Sundance Lake Drive, in a 2002 Nissan Altima around 7:05 a.m. when he ran off the roadway and struck a tree. It is unclear at this time why the man traveled off the road. Alcohol is not a suspected factor in the crash and no charges have been filed.

The man has not yet been identified by authorities.
