Meet Mary Giraldo

Learn a little bit about the founder of the Sisters of Grace.

Mary Giraldo is the founder of the Sisters of Grace. The woman's group and Bible study is based in Land O' Lakes.

Giraldo recently sat down with Patch to share a little bit about herself and the group.

Patch: What inspired you to start up Sisters of Grace?

Mary: In the past six years, I have undergone some challenges that have caused me to realize I can't do life on my own. Growing in a relationship with Christ has enabled me the ability to get through and deal with whatever life brings my way, whether it be in my role as a wife, a mom, a friend, whatever. We belong to a very large church, Grace Family Church, and it's important to connect in a smaller capacity, so small groups outside of the church are really important. It has been the desire of my heart to learn and grow in what God's word says, the truths and promises behind it and the strength we have through it.  My passion is to share that with others.

Patch:  What do you find most fulfilling about being part of Sisters of Grace?

Mary: I love the new friendships that have developed along the way and the existing relationships that have strengthened and grown. I love seeing God work in their lives and I love what He reveals to me in my own life, as well. I am humbled that this wonderful group of ladies would take the time to allow me to share God's word with them, I am truly blessed to have each and every one of them in my life.

Patch: How long have you lived in Land O Lakes?

Mary:  My husband and I moved out to Land O' Lakes in December of 2001 when it was mostly nothing but cow pastures. That took some getting used to! Now we are amazed at the growth and the warm, family friendly community it has become. We love it here!

Patch: How many children do you have?

Mary: Joshua is 4 1/2 years old and Grace is 2 1/2 years old.

Patch: What do you do in your free time?

Mary: Life passes by in the blink of an eye, so I think it's important to take time to relax and have fun. I love spending time with my family and I also love to read.
