More Thunderstorms Likely Following Wednesday's Downpours
Rain is anticipated to be a factor through the weekend.

Tampa Bay area residents will want to have umbrellas by their sides and exercise caution during their commutes.
The National Weather Service is predicting a 60 percent chance of thunderstorms throughout much of the region Thursday following heavy downpours in the Bay area Wednesday. Those Wednesday rains prompted flood watches and warnings with storms ultimately leaving some roads in the area impassable. Motorists on Tampaโs Bayshore Boulevard found themselves trapped inside stranded vehicles as the worst of the storms rolled into the region.
Thursdayโs storms are anticipated to kick off in the Nature Coast in the morning hours and then move through the Tampa Bay area throughout the day, forecasters noted in Thursdayโs Hazardous Weather Outlook report. Storms that develop may bring more locally heavy rainfall along with the potential for localized flooding of streets and urban areas, forecasters noted.
