Mosquito Grill and Bar Garnering Mixed Reviews

Some , others say the service is terrible and the soup tastes like

, popular Rapscallions closed quietly, and Mosquito Grill and Bar took its place.

"We are open during the changeover" the sign outside read a few weeks prior. At the time, it wasn't clear what the changeover meant.

It wasn't until the new Mosquito sign went up that most folks know

And Rapscallions had some faithful followers. I loved going there on special ocassions, sitting outside on the deck and bribing my young children to behave with the promise of a string of beads on the way out.

Patch reader commented on a that the new restaurant has "good, old-fashioned service we remember well from the 1950s and '60s. ... with accommodating staff and well-prepared food."

But a friend of mine took her family and said the service was horrendous and the food mediocre.

So I haven't been by Mosquito yet. The range of reviews has me a little nervous. I don't want to be disappointed. I loved Raps.
