New Bealls Outlet Should Open In July
The new store will feature a whole new look for this established retailer.
Staying competitive in today’s tough economy can be a challenge. Proving that it has withstood the test of time, Bealls, founded in 1915 in Bradenton, is changing the look of its Bealls Outlet stores and a new, updated location will be opening soon in Land O' Lakes.
Previously located in the plaza at the corner of Land O' Lakes Boulevard and State Route 54 near Big Lots, Bealls Outlet closed its doors a few months ago in preparation for its move to a new location. The new store will open in the spot that was formerly occupied by Walmart in the Village Lakes Shopping Center, 22829 State Road 54.
“Shoppers will see a big difference from the previous Bealls Outlet they once knew,” said Bill Webster, director of public and government affairs for the retail chain.

The former location was 10,800 square feet, Webster said. The new location is 27,500 square feet with an updated look, modern fixtures and a more efficient checkout process for customers.
Customers can find clothing and apparel at up to 70 percent off retail prices. In addition, most stores offer home furnishings, accessories, gifts, shoes and toys.

“The new location has been redesigned with wider aisles, a more upscale look and more merchandise to offer its customers,” said Webster.
A soft opening is tentatively scheduled for July 15 if all goes according to schedule with a grand opening planned a few weeks later, he added.
