Offer Up App Traced to Gunn Highway Dragging

The victim was trying to sell his PlayStation 4.

ODESSA, FL — The 25-year-old man dragged by a vehicle in an Odessa 7-Eleven parking lot on Saturday was attempting to sell his PlayStation 4, the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office announced Tuesday.

According to the agency, Jonathan Vinas used the Offer Up app to find a buyer for his used PlayStation 4. When he met the buyer at the store on the corner of State Road 54 and Gunn Highway, he gave the person his PS4. The “buyer,” however, attempted to leave in a white Sebring without paying for the system.

Vinas, the sheriff’s office said, ran up to the moving vehicle and grabbed onto its passenger side window as the Sebring pulled away. Vinas managed to hang on for about 200 yards, before letting go, suffering minor injuries in the process.
