Pasco County Unveils New $60,000 Website

If you haven’t visited the Pasco County website in a while, you’re in for a big surprise. The county officially rolled out a whole new design April 14.

Located at pascocountyfl.net, the website features new interactive menus for easier navigation and a direct portal to the county’s Facebook page. There’s also a “notify me” option that lets visitors register to get alerts from county departments about job opportunities, special events, public meetings and more.

According to a county media release, the site was designed by CivicPlus at a cost of $60,201.

“The cost to implement the website is equal to the maintenance cost of the previous product being used to host Pasco County’s website,” the release said. “The Civic Plus maintenance expenses will result in an overall 80 percent cost reduction for future years. The agreement covered in-depth consulting, design and development, hosting and a new user-friendly content management system. The CivicPlus package also includes dozens of interactive features and modules and automatic upgrades for the next two years.”
