Pasco Deputies Apprehend Suspects In Auto Burglary Spree

During a search of the car, deputies discovered assorted property and a wallet.

WESLEY CHAPEL, FLβ€”A juvenile who is believed to be responsible for a burglary spree in New River subdivision in Wesley Chapel was arrested Monday, Dec. 11, after attempting to evade Pasco County Sheriff’s deputies.

A Pasco County Sheriff’s deputy was patrolling the neighborhood following an auto burglary spree the day before and saw a suspicious vehicle. When the deputy attempted to stop the car, the driver fled. The deputy pursued the car to the entrance of New River subdivision at State Road 54 where the suspect gave up the chase. The juvenile driver, whose name is being withheld due to his age, confessed to the burglaries in the subdivision and said he fled because he and his passengers had just committed more auto burglaries. During a search of the car, deputies discovered assorted property and a wallet. They are now attempting to locate all of the victims.
