Pasco Deputy Fired Following Enticement Allegations

The 22-year-old was arrested in Broward County on suspicion of enticing a minor.

A rookie Pasco County Sheriff’s deputy has been relieved of duty following enticement allegations lodged against him in Broward County.

According to a statement from the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office, Deputy Matthew Aaron Bondi, 22, was terminated following a Wednesday morning arrest in Broward.

“Due to Bondi’s probationary status with the Pasco Sheriff’s Office, he has been terminated,” the agency stated in an email to media.

Preliminary information available on Bondi’s arrest indicates he traveled to Broward to meet a juvenile male, the Pasco Sheriff’s Office stated. He was arrested on suspicion of enticing a minor.

Further details in the arrest are not yet available. Bondi was being held at the Broward County Jail Wednesday without bond, jail records indicate.
