Pasco Firefighters Rescuing People From Car In Lake

Pasco County Sheriff's deputies and Fire-Rescue personnel are on the scene at Wesley Chapel District Park where a car has gone into a lake.

WESLEY CHAPEL, FL -- Pasco County Sheriff's deputies and Fire-Rescue personnel were called to Wesley Chapel District Park following a report that a car had driven into a pond.

The park is located at 7727 Boyette Road. The sheriff's office and fire-rescue received a call at 8:26 p.m. Monday, March 12, that a car was in the water and several people were inside.

Preliminary information indicates that the driver had a seizure and drove into the pond. Two adult passengers made it out of the car. However, the driver was trapped inside. He has been transported to the hospital in critical condition.
