Pasco Sheriff Increases Presence At School Following Email Threat

LAND O’ LAKES, FL – The Pasco County Sheriff’s Office has increase law enforcement presence around Pine View Middle School. 5334 Parkway Blvd., Land O Lakes, for Wednesday, March 7, as a precaution after school officials received an email threat.

The email threat was determined by the sheriff’s office not to be credible. The email has been circulated widely and came from a well-known mailing list software traced to Europe.

Nevertheless, out of an abundance of caution, the Pasco Sheriff’s Office searched the school with deputies and a trained canine before students entered.

The school has been declared safe and the school day is resuming as normal.
