Photo Gallery: Rockus Maximus XIV

After months of preparing, eight bands faced off March 25 at Crews Lake Park to see who would come out on top in Rockus Maximus Revolution: Battle of the Bands XIV.

The annual event, sponsored by Pasco County Libraries, pits local bands against each other in a competition for prizes. Four bands must come from Pasco County in each year's competition. The other four can come from just about anywhere in the state. Each band must have a majority of members under 21.

This year's prizes added up to about $6,000 and included 10 hours of recording time at Morrisound Studios in Tampa. The winners at the live concert were The Wanderer, first; A View From The East Coast, second; and A Few Days Wasted, third. Winners of the online competition were A View From The East Coast in first and Y-12 of Land O' Lakes in second.
